Getting Here

International

The easiest way of getting here is flying either to Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur (KLIA). You can then connect from Bangkok to Krabi with Air Asia, Bangkok Airways, Thai Lion Air, Nok Air or Thai Airways , and from Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia. Flights from Kuala Lumpur, and some flights from Bangkok leave from different airports, so check before you book.

Arrangements can be made for you to be collected from Krabi airport and brought directly to Lanta Lapaya Resort.

It is also possible to catch a flight to Phuket and get a ferry to Koh Lanta, but the airport is quite some distance from the ferry terminal. Arrangements can also be made for collection from Phuket airport to Koh Lanta by minibus, but be warned – this is quite a long journey.
Local

The islands are reached either by passenger ferry or by minivan. Ferries arrive from Krabi (2 hours), Phi Phi (1 hour), or Phuket (2–3 hours). Minivans arrive from either Krabi (90 minutes–2 hours), Phuket (4-5 hours) or Trang (90 minutes–2 hours). If approaching Koh Lanta by road, then travellers use two car ferries – the first from the mainland to Koh Lanta Noi, which takes about 20 minutes, and the second from Koh Lanta Noi to Koh Lanta Yai and taking about 5 minutes. The queue to get on the ferries can occasionally be lengthy, but the bridge due to be finished soon from Koh Lanta Noi to Koh Lanta Yai will alleviate this. The car ferry costs are all covered in the minivan ticket price. Prices vary upon route and ticket supplier!

A private transfer can also be booked from Krabi, Trang or Phuket for a very reasonable price.

Please let us know any time in advance of your arrival of your requirements, and we can send you a quote for any of your travel needs.
